Sport Psychology Fees

Individual sessions:

• 75 minute initial appointment ~ $230
• 50 minute review appointment ~ $190
• 30 minute review appointment ~ $100

A 75-minute initial appointment is necessary to gather the necessary background information before providing tailored strategies, including mental skills for riders to manage performance anxiety. For child and teenage clients under 16 years, approximately 10 to 15 minutes of each session will be dedicated to meeting with the parent/s at the conclusion of the session to provide recommendations.

Prepayment for all appointments is required prior to the appointment commencing.

Private Health Rebates

Many private health providers will provide a rebate for sessions with a Psychologist.  The private health items and codes I use are listed below.  

Initial session (75 minutes) with a Psychologist (online)  - 701

Follow up session (50 minutes) with a Psychologist (online) - 801

Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)

If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan, you may be able claim a rebate through Medicare. You first need MHTP and a referral from your GP to a registered psychologist. After your session, you must pay the full fee and I will provide a receipt.  You can then claim a portion of the cost back from Medicare by submitting the referral letter, MHTP details, and your paid invoice via the myGov website or the Express Plus Medicare app.  Please let me know before booking if you are thinking of using a MHTP to access sessions.

Cancellation Policy (Individual Sessions)

Full refunds are provided for appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours notice. Cancellations between 48 hours and 24 hours notice will be refunded minus a $50 late cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will incur the full scheduled fee (no refund will be given except in the unusual case of emergencies or other extreme circumstances).

Group Sessions:

The cost of group sessions per participant is typically at a reduced rate compared to individual sessions. Pricing will depend on the duration of the session, number of participants, and location of the session. Sessions can also be conducted online via Google Meet.
